Now pay attention, 'cuz this has changed since my previous NanoWriMo writeup.
My NanoWriMo stats 2017 |
1) Log in to your NanoWriMo account: https://nanowrimo.org/
2) First thing you see is your Dashboard. As you can see, I entered a novel for this November (2017):
How to upload a novel to NanoWriMo 2017 |
3) Click the Novels tab from the My NanoWriMo dropdown menu. You should enter a novel for this year, 2017. As you can see, if you won from previous years it will show up in this list.
By clicking on the middle blue Edit button (next to your novel) it will take you to the Edit menu next.

4) And so, it looks like this.
So when you get to this page, you enter the number word count on your novel that you have so far. Your computer's writing software should state the word count usually along the bottom of the screen, and that's the number you enter here, in NanoWriMo.
Today is November 2, which is why you only see two boxes so far, with the date alongside it.
5) NanoWriMo states that only on November 20 do you get to upload the full novel to your NanoWriMo account. The festival organizers keep your novel info safe, but just as an added security measure, you can scramble your novel before upload. NanoWriMo only tallies the word count, so scrambling a novel doesn't affect it so. Here's a place to do it. Until then, you only enter the word counts as previously stated.
And that's it! Voilรก!
Now here's my current stats after I logged in my word count for each day:
